Villa Lodola, thanks to its range of organic products, offers a different way of taking care of yourself: healthier, more authentic, that embraces nature and the benefits derived from it. In fact, its organic farm produces olive oil, wine and legumes of the finest quality, which are indicative of the genuineness of our land, promoting a true lifestyle based on sustainability and the ability to captivate all of our senses.
In this sense, Villa Lodola promotes a return to serenity that makes us feel like we are once again an integral part of the world by creating a deep connection between the land and us. It is a need to return to the arms of Mother Nature, spurred in part by the desire to find balance in the search for authentic beauty. This search makes us aware of how important respect for the environment and the protection of natural resources is today, the fundamental guiding values for ensuring a better quality of life for all humanity. These were the underlying concepts of the creation of the Villa Lodola food&beverage line.
PLINIUS CA’ LODOLA
In honour of Pliny the Younger, who lived in and described the Upper Tiber Valley as a perfect microcosm, it is a valuable blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes cultivated at 360 metres above sea level in the San Giustino hills, near Colle Plinio. Vine varieties that have been selected and harmonised with the terroir and grapes chosen from twenty seven rows of vines fertilized only with nitrogen and a garden of clover. Aged in oak barrels, it is perfect with roasts and mature cheeses. Every year approximately 3,000 bottles are produced.
ROSSO CA’ LODOLA
Cà Lodola Red Wine, from the estate in the hills of San Giustino 360 metres above sea level, is made with a blend of regional grapes that enhance, reclaim and re-elaborate the history of Umbrian red wines. The harmony of the natural world between the land and hilltop is perfectly adapted to the four vine varieties selected in harmony with the terroir. The aroma that emanates forth once the wine is uncorked after aging recreates a strong bond with the region. Best served at 18° C, it is the perfect accompaniment to boiled or stewed meat dishes, roast rabbit or white meats. Every year approximately 3,000 bottles are produced.
VILLA LODOLA CHICKPEAS
Cultivated using certified organic farming methods, they come from “Sultano” seeds, which are smaller with a thinner skin and are most easily digested than others. Cultivated at 360 metres above sea level following the annual rotation of the land, they are perfectly suited to the Upper Tiber Valley, which is part clay, and therefore have excellent organoleptic qualities.
VILLA LODOLA LENTILS
